Emily was awarded the Dr Mo Sacoor Scholarship upon arrival at the University of Sheffield in 2014 for Trumpet and Flugelhorn performance. Formally trained as a classical musician, Emily’s interest in Jazz developed in 2014, and has led to her playing with funk, indie, jazz and big bands.
Emily plays with Indie bands in Sheffield – Life Aquatic Band, I Set the Sea on Fire, Cora Pearl and Teah Lewis – and leads A Jazz Band that is also Sheffield based.
